Language Arts Lesson
I would use this video for my 3rd grade language arts class before explaining the parts of a word. The video is a good introduction for a lesson on root words, prefixes and suffixes. It explains that prefixes are at the head of a word, you have a root and suffixes are at the tail end of it. This video would give me a base to explain what some common prefixes mean and how they can change the meaning of a word. Learning prefixes and suffixes is also a good way for students to build their vocabulary.

This video is both entertaining and educational! I love it! I like that it has a story line with a problem and breaking down and making the words is the solution. It was done very nicely and can be clearly understood. I really like this video.
